If you’re reading this site via RSS subscription, you may have received a tantalizing teaser about a Shennong course module. If you would have moved to check out the post, you would have found your access blocked unless you are a Shennong member. I’m sorry about that! That little technological error was my fault – I’ll do my best to avoid similar errors in the future.
The fact is, there is a LOT going on behind the scenes at Chinese Medicine Central. We’re undergoing a new redesign that is going to really impress you, I think, as well as be a more effective vehicle for building a strong international Chinese medicine community.
But, it’s more than just a pretty face.
I’ve been working hard over the last 18 months to figure out the direction I want Chinese Medicine Central to take – some of that information I have shared with you – some I’ve kept private. But all that work has resulted in a vision I think you will really be able to get behind. If you’re not already signed up for the newsletter – please do get subscribed. Soon, a document that is shot through with this vision will be released to newsletter subscribers.
It will energize and inspire you, but also give you a lot of information about how you can become a more engaged practitioner – vital to building a great business and being of maximum help to your patients.
Other than that, we’re rolling out lots of great new content (including more clinical reflections episodes of the podcast and some fantastic interviews) and – maybe most importantly – releasing a series of 8 courses over the next 11 months. These courses are intended to help people with little or no classical Chinese medicine background to gain clinically relevant understanding they can use to transform their practices. There’s plenty in store for those of you who are relatively more experienced as well.
Anyway – you may find a few more unfortunate technological blips as we work to get everything fixed up. Sorry!
The new site design and all it entails will be here early next week and pre-registration for the first of the new courses will begin in late June. So much to come! Don’t forget to sign up for the newsletter – first notification of new courses, inspiring bits and pieces just for newsletter subscribers and subscriber-only discounts are just a little of what you’ll receive in exchange for signing up.

Hi - I'm the founder of this site and the primary master of all functions here. When I'm not writing, you can find me reaching out to the Chinese Medicine community across the web and in my own backyard. I currently teach Chinese herbs at my alma mater, the National College of Natural Medicine. Additionally, I'm the founder of Watershed Wellness, a thriving local clinic in Southeast Portland in Oregon. No matter where I'm working, you'll find my focus on the Classical approach to Chinese medicine laced throughout everything I do.
